Hi people,
I'm using Hevacomp V8i SS1 SP2 and the software creates randomly tmp files with 0KB in the main drives where the database was saved.
Is there a way to control where these files are created?
It's anying other people in the company that these files show up for no reason.
Thanks,
Jose
Hi Jose,
If you go to configuration (as below), what is listed as your main path to projects?

Hi Shane,
Thanks for your help.
The main path to projects is pointing to C:\Users\joseg\Documents\Hevacomp Projects\
The projects are stored in a mapped drive in the server.
Thanks Shane,
The temp folders are set as follows:
TEMP=C:\Users\joseg\AppData\Local\TempTMP=C:\Users\joseg\AppData\Local\Temp
Thanks Jose,
All temp files should be being created at this location in that case. Could you please delete the files, try and run Hevacomp as admin (right-click, select Run as Administrator) and see if the issue reoccurs?
If it still occurs you may wish to consult your IT about setting up a simple batch process to delete the files automatically.
For some reason, when I run it as Admin the mapped drives don't show up.
Will speak to the IT guys to do the batch.
Kind regards,
Jose Gonzalez
It sounds like your Windows permissions settings may be causing this in that case. Please ensure that you have full permissions to the mapped locations and all locations detailed here. Please also disable User Account Control.
Thanks Shane
