I am dealing with the entry of Specific Fan Powers for the Part L compliance.
Previously I have been advised when using Hevacomp I should calculate the average SFP for the fan as Hevacomp doesn't take into account the switching off of the fan using occupancy sensing.
If it is entered using the full SFP Hevacomp calculates the energy use for the it running the whole occupied time.
Please could you advise if this is still the case.
Regards
Rob
Hi Rob - Bentley Hevacomp software has no involvement in the PartL calculation. We take the information you provide and pass it to the SBEM calculation engine. As SBEM takes no consideration of occupancy for SFP I would recommend continuing with this model.Regards,

Thanks Duncan,
Just for clarification you are confirming that we should continue to calculate the average SFP for a fan. This is based on its actual SFP average over an hour as the extract rate is l/s/m2
Rob - that sounds reasonable to me.Regards,
