By the way, I want to ask you what you think about the solar whiz roof ventilation, is it worth buying? Actually, I just recently moved into a new house and I recently ordered solar panels to use as my main source of electricity. And I think that the solar whiz roof ventilation will look great on the roof of my new modern house. So, I found an article about the Solar Whiz on https://www.solarwhiz.com.au/whirlybird/whirlybirds/ to find out more information about it and I came to the conclusion that this is exactly what I need. Anyway, if you have any thoughts, please share them.

Cheers, Dan.

RE: Netsys Ventilation Ductwork Sizing - Fixing a duct size on a vertical drop

Duncan,

That's done the trick now thanks for your assistance.

RE: Netsys Ventilation Ductwork Sizing - Fixing a duct size on a vertical drop

Hi Chris - yes - there is no "special" option in ductwork, but there is a Duct Height option. Set this to your average duct height and you should be able to select the duct.

As an alternative, you can disconnect any horizontal ducts (delete and redraw later) and use the Group Select option to fix the size.

Regards,

RE: Netsys Ventilation Ductwork Sizing - Fixing a duct size on a vertical drop

Thanks Duncan, This works great for the CWS sizing but can't seem to relate this to the ductwork sizing. There is no option to select "Special Height" for a duct. I am trying to drop a supply duct from the roof (1m above FFL), down into the the ceiling void of the floor below (3.5m above FFL). I have fixed the ducts on the roof to 700Wx500H, however the vertical drop between floors is being automatically sized by the programme to 1000Wx600H. I wish to fix this drop to 700Wx500H also but can't select it to do so.

RE: Netsys Ventilation Ductwork Sizing - Fixing a duct size on a vertical drop

Hi Chris
