Hi,
With reference to the post in "Changes for the 18th Edition", what is the reason for considering 1 Sec (see snap below) disconnection time for Other circutis in TN system.
As per BS 7671:2018 Regulation 411.3.2.3 - In a TN system, a disconnection time not exceeding 5 s is permitted for a distribution circuit and for a circuit not covered by Regulation 411.3.2.2.
So is this supposed to be 5 Sec as per the BS 7671?
Hi Balakrishna / Yadagani,
Many thanks for the clarification above. I am consulting the support manager and development about this issue and will get back to you as soon as I have further information.

Hi Balakrishna,
Our developers have examined the code behind the calculation and we confirm that there is an issue with this value for disconnection time in the latest version. Apologies for any inconvenience in this regard and many thanks for bringing this to our attention.
A fix is being worked on and once approved it will be released as soon as possible. I will keep you informed of any developments.
In the meantime the only workaround I can suggest would be to revert to the 17th edition calculation result.
Hi Shane,
Many thanks for the information and suggestion. We are looking forward to see the update. Much appreciated.
Regards,
Y Balakrishna
I found that by selecting the other box it allowed for 0.4 and 5 seconds.
Hi Shane
Has a fixed been issued for this yet?
Hi Jonathon,
Yes, update 8 has been released for this - please see further information here.
