Does anyone know how hevacomp is sizing the HWS and CWS pipe sizes. Is it using the EN 806-2006 methodology?
Hi,
Hevacomp uses the Colebrook White equations for pipe sizing and EN 806 to determine flowrates. From the Help file:
Outlets can be added at any position. For HWS and CWS, an outlet type is selected, which will then determine the flow rate using either BS EN 806-3:2006 or BS 6700:1997 loading units.

It does not show the options anymore in the default window (EN 806-3 2006 or BS6700)
Do you have the latest Update 7 installed? Check your main menu which should look like this:
If you have anything other than this version please follow the instructions for downloading and installing here.
It looks like this
EN-806 changes were introduced on V26. You would need to more to a later version.
I have V8i, do I have to update to V26?
which version V26?
I would recommend the latest one available but to Update 5 at least.
I have installed the updated version and I am just checking the CWS loading units of EN 806-3:2006, and for non-domestic kitchen sink DN20, the pipe size should be 22mm and not 28. That is not correct neither for 22mm nor 28mm: According to EN806-3 the loading unit for DN20 Sink should be 8 loading units.
Please advise!
