Hi,
I am trying to model a pitched roof which has a number of flat roof dormers built into the pitch of the roof.
When I go to model the vertical parts of the dormer, the vertical parts of the roof form a rectangle shape which appears to form a wall within the room below the roof.
Is there a way of modelling the vertical parts of the dormer roof so that they form a triangle shape which follows the pitch of the roof?
Thanks
Andrew
Hi Shane,
Thanks for your help on this. I ended up removing the dormers, putting the roof lights on the pitch of the roof and hand calc'ing the dormer heatlosses.
Andrew.
Hi Andrew,
Great, thanks for letting me know. Dormers and attic rooms can be tricky at times, so if you have similar difficulties with future projects you can always convert to Room Data mode if needed and manually enter the surface areas (note however you won't be able to use CAD thereafter).
