Hi,
I am trying to model a pitched roof which has a number of flat roof dormers built into the pitch of the roof.
When I go to model the vertical parts of the dormer, the vertical parts of the roof form a rectangle shape which appears to form a wall within the room below the roof.
Is there a way of modelling the vertical parts of the dormer roof so that they form a triangle shape which follows the pitch of the roof?
Thanks
Andrew
Thanks Shane
To add to the above, I see the issue you refer to in relation to the roof sections themselves, ie:
Usually the 'Fill vertical section' option when tracing roofs would be appropriate in such cases - I will try to come up with a workflow to get this working and will let you know.

Hi Andrew,
To clarify, as I understand it you wish to avoid the walls in the rooms below from rising up to meet the roof at the dormer, as in image below:
and in their place you only wish to only have vertical roof sections, long the lines of:
Do I understand correctly?
Apologies, I misread your question. Such vertical sections can be tricky. I can take a look if you could please forward the zipped project file? Please upload to:

Hi Shane,
Thanks for getting back to me.
My issue isn't with placing windows in the vertical faces of the dormer.
See the screen shot below. I am trying to get the vertical section to follow the line of the roof of the pitched roof, rather than dropping below into the room. Is that possible?
Thanks Andrew
