I am getting a Failure Type 2 between a 160A BS88 fuse and 63A MCCB, but there is no over lap in the curves (blue and Green). If I change to another manufacturers MCCB it passes. Also if I click estimate fault currents it then passes. the estimated values are different again to the values in cable calculation output.
So am I failing or am I passing? Im a bit confused.
Hi Jonathan, could you please reply with a screenshot showing the results page from the failing way?

This is a 63A MCCB that fails discrimination
This is another manufacturer 63A MCCB that passes
Thanks Jonathan,
These are both Current limiting devices, so this is affecting fault currents - you can see this in graphs as below:
However we would advise using an alternate device as the data for this Proteus device graph does appear suspect. A similar generic device should give you what you require.
This is the curve on their site so maybe it is not so suspect. Im just trying to understand if I am wrong, Hevacomp is Wrong or Proteus Curves.
Hi Jonathan,
The curve in Hevacomp isn't matching the curve you supplied from Proteus. This leads me to be concerned about the rest of the data for that device, especially the Current Limiting aspect which affects the faulty current. As such I would advise use of an alternate matching device such as the Merlin Gerin that you used as comparison.
