I have been receiving extremely high resistances for the hot water return on projects which are not representative of the expected pressure drop. Could you please clarify when using the single line for flow & return graphics in defaults at what point does the system insert the return tee. The reason I ask is that the only value I can see that would produce these figures is if the system is including the outlet pressure drop,
typical value is 100 kPa @ 0.11 l/s .

Yes, all fittings such as outlets bends and tees are included in pressure drop results. You can see what section each fitting is attached to when calculating your system, by enabling all reports in your Default settings.
