I am getting an error when I try to size the system in Netsys Ductsizer.
After drawing the system I am met with 'Duct with system marker is not the start duct for the system'. (See attached)
I have tried putting the system marker in various

RE: Error when running 'size duct' in Netsys

Hi Seb,

No problem at all, glad to hear that worked. The system marker needs to be at the very beginning of the source duct, ie the main duct that would be coming from your AHU / plant room.

RE: Error when running 'size duct' in Netsys

Hi Shane,

Thanks for the quick response.

I was adding the system marker on top of the inlet which seems to have been the core of the problem.

I have added a very short length of duct at the start of the system which solves the issue.

Best regards

Seb

RE: Error when running 'size duct' in Netsys

Hi Sebastian,

This would usually only occur if there were inlets/outlets both upstream and downstream from the System Marker, eg as below:

Could this be the case in this instance? Perhaps there is a another diffuser or floor change connector under the System Marker?
