Is there a way to create different references to indicate various types of emitters located on the same floor, that will then display in the schedule output.

Yes, if you select Emitters > Emitter ref defaults you can find an option to specify a different emitter prefix for each floor:

Hi Christopher, apologies! I misread your initial question. Unfortunately not, the prefixes must be the same for all emitters on each floor.
