Hello,
I am looking at a warehouse which has quite a strange shape, the walls entend out from the base as they rise and then there are different pitches on the roof.
Below is a rought sketch of the warehouse cross section, is there a way to model this geometry?
Regards,
Hi Grant,
That's certainly unusual! The only way of modelling the geometry in Hevacomp exactly, that I can think of, would be to use roof sections and elevate the edges accordingly. (You could make a roof construction type with your wall thermal properties). I would need to test this further to confirm if it would be viable. However, if you are running a PartL calculation this would mean that your surface types would be inaccurately reported, so may not be an option. In this instance you may rather need to approximate by using normal vertical walls, bearing the internal room volume and the surface area in mind.
