Hello,
I am working on a open plant office project however some of the locations seem to have very high latent gains. The design criteria is pretty standard, 1Person/10m2, 12L/s/p, Casual Gains 90/50W, Small Power Gain 25W/m2, Lighting Gains 8W/m2. Good U-values generally, but some rooms have latent loads > sensible loads.
Hello Grant, are you running the CIBSE Gain calculation?

Hi Shane yes running the CiBSE Heat Gain Calculaton on Hevacomp.
Hi Grant, without seeing the project I could only really give general advice such as this info here. If you need us to look into this in depth we would need to see the project - could you please upload to this link? And also please let us know one specific room that is of concern.
Thanks Shane, I have uploaed the files.
The latents seem high generally across the board but in particular:
G01-01
G05
G06
G07
G12
G13
G18
F02
F15
F21
F22
Hi Grant, the latent loads themselves are calculating fine - the reason they seem comparatively large in relation to the sensible gains is that temperature rise of 2 degrees has been allowed.
The effect of this is to reduce the Sensible load - eg see below for room G05, with Temperature Rise allowed and disabled:
You can find further info on the effect of this setting here.

Thanks for your feedback Shane much appreicated
No problem at all Grant, if you need anything lese please let us know.
