My model consists of two floors, 2.7m high for first floor and 2.7m for second floor. I added a pitch roof which messed the whole model up, so i deleted the roof data from the DDBROOF.NDX folder along with the ROOFPOLY.* and RLIGHTPOLY.* files. The model has become slightly better, but in 3D model view i can see straight down to the GF- so the GF has no ceiling. How do i add a ceiling to the GF. I also want to add a pitch roof with the middle edge elevated 2.25m, but i cant seem to get the datum height correct. Please can someone help me. im assuming the datum height is just 2.7+2.7=5.4m.
Hi Shane, i am using Hevacomp- design database
So would this current setting include adding a false ceiling to the gf and ff. The reason why i want to add a ceiling to the FF is because when i create a roof and select 'set up exposed roofs' with the FF as the 'floor immediately below this roof', the ff room heights change which i dont want.
Would doing this help solve the issue Shane?
Hi Aakil,
This will be for the intermediate internal floors/ceilings.
There is a similar option to do so when you set up exposed roofs, which will apply to the rooms below the roof:

Hi Shane,
Thankyou for getting back to me.
These are the settings I set. I didn't tick extend walls to underside of roof and correct volumes as this just extend the walls right up to the roof.
It still hasn't managed to create a false ceiling under the roof as shown in the 3D model below.
If I was to select 'extend walls to underside of roof and correct volumes' it changes the model as such without a false ceiling:
What would you recommend I do.
Hello Aakil, that is just a visual issue, the room volumes will have been correctly adjusted for the new room height you entered. If you check the rooms you should find they are the correct height.
Thanks.
Under room data the height of the room shows as 2.7m as shown below:
But the individual wall and partition heights are not showing as 2.7 but are being extended to the roof. In this case is the room height actually 2.7, with a false ceiling?
If i was to go back to global changes and change the ff room heights back to 2.7 but model shows up like this again, and when i do the roof settings as before the wall heights change change.
Shane, is there a number i can ring to get through to you so that i can get a better understanding of the model data.
Everything appears to be set up fine in that case.
