My company has recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Hevacomp is not producing any reports since the upgrade - even on past projects? I have a simple extension building and just want heat loss load calcs but the results from my model are blank? can you please suggest a fix? thanks
Hi Shane - thanks for the reply. I had come to the same conclusion but I might need some help is it a big job,,,?
Hi Alan,
It's nothing too complicated I promise! Just uninstall your existing Crystal Reports using Control Panel, download the files at the above link, unzip, and run the installer "SETUP" file. To run it I would suggest right-clicking on it and selecting Run As Administrator.

I really like how much faith you have in my IT abilities Shane! I uninstalled CR from my machine and downloaded the zip file - but...it appears that I do not have enough administrator privileges to install the report writer app. So I guess its off to India ...were our IT support guys and gals ....work.
Morning Shane - I uninstalled Crystal Reports and had IT reinstall it but the reports still are not generating...the pie chart is there but nothing else I'm afraid...
Hi Alan, did they ensure to disable UAC as shown here and also run the installer as full admin? These are both vital steps.
Hi Shane my machine is set to never notify. But our IT are based out of India and because I do not have admin rights - we switched accounts remotely to do the install. Presumably, the person had full admin? because the install wizard did run to finish. Its seemed a flawless install to me but I guess it did not work because I still have the problem. Do we need to completely disable UAC in Registry Editor and reinstall from the setup.exe?
Hi Alan, thanks for confirming. Never notify should be fine for UAC. I cannot be certain of your IT's permissions, so I would always advise right clicking and running as admin to ensure this. I would double-check with them that this was the case firstly.
Hi Shane - sorry to say that after two attempts the reporter component still refuses to deliver and display results. I even disabled UCA in the Registry Editor but this did not work. The install wizard did its job and all seemed OK. But the load heat loss results in the report are still not displaying?
Thanks for checking that, important to rule it out. In these cases reverting to an alternative version of Crystal Reports often resolves the matter - please find this here. Same process as before, just uninstall your existing Crystal Reports and then run the Setup file as admin.
