Model Builder / 3D Model View - Old Model still showing up

Hi Shane

Hope you are keeping well?.

I am wondering if I might be able to call on your expertise again.

I am having issues with a model I have drawn up.

The original model was done about two years ago. The building has since changed layouts. I have uploaded the new dxf and traced in the room.

When I go to view the model in 3D viewer I can still see the old Model (Marked with and X  in the snip.)

When I deselect a floor in my new model is also deselect thhe corresponding room in the old Model , its like they have been linked together. This is the same for the 2nd floor.

The first floor seems to be ok.

What I am worried about is when I run a heat loss simulation will the doublicate rooms be getting mashed or read  into the new model causing a faulty results reading.

When I go to the heat loss program I can see the old rooms from the old model.

Would you have come across this before , if so is there any trick to fix this or is it a case of re starting over??

Any help is greatly apreaciated.

Snip 1

Kind Regards

Seamus  Murphy

No problem at all Seamus, glad that helped.

  • Hi Shane,

Thank you for your speedy reply.

That information is great, I really appreciated that.

Just in relation to the open building energy simulator- is this a new package from Bentley or is it part of Hevacomp?

We are using version V8i  of hevacomp.

    Kind Regards

  • Hi Murphy,

OpenBuildings Energy Simulator is a new package offered by Bentley, subscribing to which you will have free entitlement of Hevacomp. Energy Simulator is more advanced than Hevacomp, as it is built with the connect edition, which is upgraded from v8i.
