DDB Program Not Available

Question

Hello, 
 I built my model in Hevacomp but when I try to run CIBSE calc's a prompt shows up "DDB Program Not Available".

Hi Grant, 
 Thanks for the details. If this was working previously until recently I imagine it would have been changes external to the software that have caused this - most likely a Windows update that has increased permissions restrictions on your machine. 
 A quick test is to close Hevacomp, and then start it by right-clicking on the Hevacomp shortcut and selecting Run as Administrator . 
 If that does not work I would suggest also lowering User Account Control in your Windows settings, and then trying to run as Admin again.

 I'm guessing this has occured due to an improper installation. Did you install the software recentley? or it was there and it is happening for all the projects?

Hello Grant/Attir, 
 This error is usually a result of particular components not being registered on your machine. 
 Please do as follows: 
 1. Turn off User Account Control completely - see here 
 2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp, as below, and right clikc on reg.bat and run as admin: 
 
 3.Ensuring that UAC is still disabled, right click on the Hevacomp shortcut and Run as Admin to start the software. See if the issue remains.
