Fail type 5

Please advise what causes a fail type 5.

    This is a Visual Basic programming message, indicating the program code is unable to process a calculation/command - specifically error 5 usually indicates that there is an invalid or unexpected value within your variables, usually for example a number outside of an expected range (imagine a divisor of zero somewhere within the calculation, for instance).
