Heating Pipe Sizing in Netsys - Emitter Queries

Hi,

Its been a while since the last time I used Hevacomp so apologies if the questions seem trivial.

I am trying to model a relatively large project, I have already placed all my emitters (some ceiling void, some floor level).

When I try to connect the emitters using separate flow & return pipework, it appears the emitters may not be connecting. Zooming in shows that the grid doesn’t seem to always line up with the connection point of the emitters, as i’ve modelled some of them at 45 degrees (see figure below) I’ve tried checking this in the isometric view however due to the large building it is quite difficult to check. Is it ok to model the emitters at 45 degrees? And is there a way to check whether they are connected?

My other question is regarding the system marker. Do I need to place it on the flow or return? Or do i need a single flow & return pipe?

Thank you in advance

Seb

  • Thanks Shane,

It seems the pipe was actually on another floor, managed to get it sorted.

I am still running into a whole host of trouble with the emitters which I don't seem to be able to resolve.

I am getting an error saying that they are not connected to a flow & return system, however I think they are. Is there a specific order you have to draw the pipes in? I have attached a couple images below.

Would you be able to take a look at the model to see if I have done anything silly?

    Thanks for your help.

    Seb
