Hi,
Please I need help with my Hevacomp heat loss calculation. I am working on a three storey building with six apartments. The heat loss results are pretty high and does not tally with the manual heat loss calculations. The second floor (which has the roof) has lower heat loss which I believe is wrong and some floors have the same and constant values. The ground floor apartment is similar to the first flow and Vice versa.
i really don’t know what I am doing wrong and I have had to go over this for the past few weeks. Please can anyone please have a look at my model . I’d truly appreciate it . I have 4 buildings I am modeling and all have the same faults.
No problem at all! On a related note, you may wish to consider the latest version of the software (OpenBuildings Energy Simulator) as it contains much more capability to drill into results such as these, please see info at:How to view Results Calculation Formulae - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon Wiki - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon - Bentley Communities

Hi Shane, great! Thank you for your time and for spotting that, i will correct those bits. really appreciate it.
Hi Misan,
Taking a comparison of 25-L and 28-L, the full results show the infiltration to be much the same, but the fabric loss to be higher for 25-L. If you have a look at the breakdown of this you can see that the doors are the main reason for this, as below.
I would recommend addressing the U-values of the doors should this be an issue for you.
