How do i download Hevacomp software for heat loss & heat gain calculations to determine air flow ventilation for fans & heaters.
Hi Rob,Absolutely - I will log a Service Request for you now and we can set up a call?
I promise it's not as complicated as probably first seems!!
Main thing to be aware of is that a Workset is basically just the project folder, that's all. And a Workspace is just a grouping of Worksets. You can find some guidance here that may be useful:Creating a Project - Workspaces and Worksets explained - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon Wiki - OpenBuildings | AECOsim | Speedikon - Bentley Communities
Shane Regan | Principle Building Performance Support Engineer
yeah 2021 sound about right. I gave up after that
A person tutorial on these workset and workspace things would be handy
I'll read the linked documentation first.
With the very limited use I've had I am yet to be convinced OpenBuildings is right for me
Hi Rob,
Many thanks for the feedback. We're here to help you with this, but I had a look at our records and the last time you were in touch was back in 2021, so if you have had any difficulties please let us know and we're happy to have a call or session with you to answer any such questions.
The main initial difference from Hevacomp is how to set up a project via Worksets and Workspaces, once past that I personally find is much more user friendly and the workflow is quite similar to Hevacomp's, eg as in the guidance below:Suggested Workflow for new users - OpenBuildings | Bentley Communities
Matt
IMHO i wouldnt go anywhere near OpenBuildings Simulator.
I've tried it and it is 10 times more complicated that Hevacomp.
You can’t start a project on a drive and directory of your choice.
The screen wasn’t working correctly, it defiantly had a bug
I wasn’t getting anywhere with Bentley’s remote help
I gave up
I stick with Hevacomp
Hi Matt,
Hope you're well, just following up on the below to check if my sales colleagues got in touch in relation to this? If not let me know and I will chase this up for you.
