James Selby
Hi, I've got an existing Hevacomp model which works fine in CAD input. But I need to update the DXFs and change a couple of zones. When I bring in the new DXF all the CAD rooms on the floor disappear. The rooms are still there, because they show up…

building brought vertically
vizcaya j
Hi The building is importing vertically rather horizontally, despite that on the dxf is horizontally. Is it something to do with the angle to South (as it is 345deg). The angle to South is entered as per instructions in this forum Any ideas?

Matthew Findlay
Hi, What is the best way to add openings to external walls in hevacomp? There doesn't appear to be a native feature and I haven't had much luck using custom windows/doors Thanks!

RE: Modelling variable wall construction in single element

Hi Roy, it may depend on the type of calculation you are doing as to the best solution. The simplest option is to create an Exposed Wall in Fabric Data using the layer data for the above ground wall. Once created you can adjust the calculated U-Value…

RE: Changes to Building layout
Shane Regan
Hi Clive, I suspect that your DXF background is not updating to your new layout due to the cache files within the project folder. If your new DXFs have the same name as the old ones then the cache files will be used. To display the new DXF, simply…
