Overview

This document outlines how Hevacomp Simulator can help with BREEAM assessments.

Method

The frequency calculation within the Design Simulator program can be used to calculate the hourly results of room temperatures for the entire year. These results can be displayed numerically or shown as a temperature frequency curve. This calculation allows BREEAM section HEA.03 to be fulfilled.

BREEAM also requires that Design Simulation software has an associated AM11 Building Energy and Environmental modeling document (CIBSE). The AM11 document pertaining to Bentley Hevacomp Design Simulator can be found here.
