Describing the difference between CAD and Room Data mode.
There are two methods for creating projects in Design Database - CAD mode, where you will import a DXF file and sketch your building, or Room data mode which relies on manual input.
A CAD mode project can be converted into a Room data mode project quite easily, but once you do so you loose a lot of CAD functionality and the more you use Room data mode, the less viable the CAD model will be.
To this end you are warned twice before the software will convert your project.
If you choose to ignore this message and turn off the "Use full building CAD model" you will be given a second chance to cancel this move:
If you select OK on this warning then your project will be taken out of "Full building cad model".
Once switched to Room data mode your CAD model will have far less functionality than before. The following items will no be available, for example:
You should also note that the CAD drawing will appear in black and white, and if you add new rooms in CAD input, that adjacencies may no longer be automatically set up.
Once converted to Room data mode, you cannot go back to Full Cad Input mode. If you need to switch to Room data mode ensure you back up your project first.
