Overview

Windows settings for numeric symbols can cause issues when running Hevacomp. This can manifest itself in error messages running the programs, or even the following licence error:
These symbols are used as numerical operators by the software, so they must be defined as described below.

Method

The numerical format is defined in the Regional and Language options in your Windows settings. Please note that this document deals with Windows 7 but similar methods are available in Windows 8, Vista and XP.

Click on the Start menu and select Control Panel
Select Region and Language
Select Additional Settings from this dialog

Which will produce the Customize Format dialog:

Please ensure that these settings are exactly as in the above image, particularly:

Decimal symbol changed to:	.
Digit grouping symbol changed to	,
List separator changed to:	,
