Introduction
The latest version of the Bentley Hevacomp installation consists of three parts:
- Hevacomp Program installer
- Service Pack updater
- Content installer
Should you require these installation files please log a Support Case.
We advise logging on as Full Administrator and disabling User Account Control before following the steps below.
Method
Ensure you have all three installation files. All three must be installed for the software to function. These are available for download as detailed here.
Step 1
Run (right-clicking and selecting Run As Administrator is advised) the Hevacomp V8i installation setup file:
After the initial stages of the installation are complete the following dialog will appear:
In this dialog, set the location for the software and data files to be installed to. It is advised that these be left as default.
Click on Next to complete the installation.
At this stage you will need to activate the software. For details on locating the activation key, please see this document.
Note: should you wish you can click cancel on the activation screen to skip it, and complete the installation. The software will run in trial mode and you can activate at a later stage.
Step 2
Next, apply the latest Update to the installation by running the below file:
Step 3
Finally, the latest Content pack should be installed by running the content installer below. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Please note:
- The Content Pack and update file names are very similar. Please use care to ensure you install in the order shown.
- Bentley Hevacomp is only available as a CLIENT installation. As always, project files can be stored anywhere, but the software can only be installed directly onto client computers. There is no facility for a Server/Client installation.
