How to change the DXF in a Netsys Project

      Product(s): Hevacomp Mechanical Designer
      Version(s): V8i
      Environment: N/A
      Area: General
      Subarea: N/A

    Overview

It is possible to change the DXF background in a Netsys Pipe or Duct sizing project.

    Method

Ensure the project is backed up before attempting these steps

Firstly, ensure that the new DXF is correctly set up so that your floors align correctly. Examine the new DXF in your CAD software and ensure that it and the DXF to be replaced have:

    • The same origin point

    • The same scale

Then, to import the updated DXF:

    • Ensure Bentley Hevacomp is not running

    • Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the location of your DXF file and rename or delete the existing DXF file.

    • Using Windows Explorer navigate to the project folder and delete the relevant DXF cache file.

    • Start Hevacomp, open the project and go into the floor that contains the DXF to be changed. The following message should appear:

    • Press OK and select the new DXF.

When the floor opens, it will contain the new DXF file.
