    Introduction

NOTES: This is applicable to older v26 installations.
You do NOT need to un-install anything to resolve this issue

After running a new installation of Bentley Hevacomp V26.06, a Run time error 53 occurs within the MAT program while trying to manipulate constructions

    Method

Bentley Systems have identified an issue within the Design Database/MAT program - while trying to add or modify a MAT construction, an Error 53 will occur when attempting to add fabric to a construction. This is due to a number of files being placed into a folder where MAT cannot access them..To resolve this, you will need to download these files and unzip them into your installation.

    Step 1

Download the MatIndex.Zip file from this location.

Due to the nature of these files, they are not available in any other deliverable form. You will need to log in to access this file.

    Step 2

Paste the following into the address bar of Windows Explorer:

    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp

You should see something like the following:

Unzip the file downloaded in step 1 into the Hevacomp folder. If asked to overwrite then do so. Once this is complete you should be able to run the MAT program successfully.
