When entering roof information in a Design Database project, sometimes the program may refuse to elevate an edge. This occurs because the roof section you are attempting to elevate isn't symmetrical. If this happens, you must elevate the roof edge using points.
The method used is essentially the same as elevate edge, but you will have to provide a little more data to ensure the roof is elevated correctly.
1. Draw the roof section you require onto the main roof CAD input screen 2. Select the Elevate Point option from the dialog 3. On the main roof CAD input screen select the point you wish to elevate 4. Enter a value indicating the finish height of the point above the base of the roof. 5. The main roof CAD input screen will highlight a number of sections around which the roof will pivot to enable the point to be raised. Select the pivot edge (in this instance, B). Once the pivot point is selected the roof section will be elevated at the chosen point and all other edges will be adjusted accordingly.
