In the Room Data dialog of CAD Input there are now options to control lighting using daylight factors. This information can be set to "No control", "On/Off" or "Dimmers"
These controls are not used with the Design Database steady state calculations or PartL/SBEM calculations. They are only applicable to the Energy calculations within Dynamic Simulation.
If the "On/Off" or "Dimmers" options are selected, Dynamic Simulation will consider switching or dimming a percentage of the lighting load for the room. The percentage is controlled by the factors entered in the six boxes. The boxes should be filled from top left to bottom right.
A daylight factor is a percentage of daylight within the room. The Nimbus link from Design Database can be used to ascertain daylight factors. More information on this method can be found here.
