When DXF files are used in your Design Database project, it is important to ensure the scale, origin and overall extents are set correctly with each drawing.
Design Database uses DXF files as the background image for your project. When loaded in, the origin point and extent of the DXF files are considered when being placed into the Design Database world space.
If the origin point is different on DXF files, or the extents of the DXF files differ too greatly, then the program cannot position the backgrounds correctly.
In the examples below the extents of the drawing are shown as in red, and the origin indicated by a red cross.The program would scale the rooms correctly for these drawings, but the location in the Design Database world space would be misaligned across the floors.
