In some instances it may be desirable to embed rooms within other rooms.
The Design Database program cannot correctly process rooms that are entirely enclosed within other rooms (see Fig.1 below). The internal room area will not be cut out of the external room, and heat flow through surfaces will not be correctly defined.To accomplish this correctly, the internal room space should be cut out of the external room before the internal room is drawn. (see Fig.2 below, green lines indicate where cut out is drawn) This will allow for the room volume to be correctly adjusted, and as the cut out will ultimately be defined with internal partitions, this will have no meaningful impact on calculated results.
