Over time, the file format for Connect projects has been modified to allow greater flexibility. This document will explain how to import version 18 projects into the latest versions of the software.
Launch the Connect program from the Bentley Hevacomp main menu. Ensure that the Project Explorer is working in Windows Explorer mode.
From the bottom of the explorer window, click the "Show old Connect files" tick box.
Navigate to your project location, open the project folder and select the .cnp file.
Click the "Selected path OK" button to open the project.
This will have created a project folder underneath your original folder, and take on the name of the .cnp file. In this example we have created a project called "Project1" underneath the original "Project1" folder.
As this project has now been converted, in future you can open it normally by navigating to the new "Project1" folder.
We recommend you back up any project folders before converting them.
