Overview

The Bentley Hevacomp Connect package contains a powerful reporting tool that allows you to set up your own custom reports for your projects.

If you have created your own Custom Reports in an earlier version, then you can use the information below to move the reports into your newer version.

Method

To use your existing reports in the current version of the software, you will need to copy files from your old version to the current version.

For transferring V24 custom reports to V25

First of all locate the base installation folder for your V24 and V25 software. Please see this document for assistance. Then locate and copy the indicated files from the v24 folder to the v25 folder. Custom report files start at ConnectRpt28_1.rpt.

Ensure you copy all of your custom report files, along with the two "tem" files. Note that usrrep.tem is found in the base data folder, not the reports sub folder.

Source File and location (v24)Destination Location (v25)
Heva24\Hevadata\usrrep.tem  Heva25\Hevadata\
Heva24\Hevadata\Reports\stdrep.tem  Heva25i\Hevadata\Reports\
Heva24\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRpt28_1.rpt  Heva25i\Hevadata\Reports\
Heva24\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRpt29_1.rpt  Heva25\Hevadata\Reports\
Heva24\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRpt30_1.rpt  Heva25i\Hevadata\Reports\
Heva24\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRptxx_1.rpt  Heva25i\Hevadata\Reports\

This technique can be applied to earlier versions of the software
but you would start with ConnectRpt27_1.rpt

For transferring v25 custom reports to v26

First of all locate the base installation folder for your V25 software, and the data folder for your V26 software. Please see this document for assistance. Note the use of a separate location for V26 data files. They are no longer stored alongside the program files. Now locate and copy the indicated files from the v25 folder to the v26 folder. Custom report files start at ConnectRpt28_1.rpt.

Ensure you copy all of your custom report files, along with the two "tem" files. Note that usrrep.tem is found in the base data folder, not the reports sub folder.

Source File and location (v25)Destination Location (v26)
Heva25\Hevadata\usrrep.tem    v26data\
Heva25\Hevadata\Reports\stdrep.tem    v26data\Reports\
Heva25\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRpt28_1.rpt       v26data\Reports\
Heva25\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRpt29_1.rpt    v26data\Reports\
Heva25\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRpt30_1.rpt    v26data\Reports\
Heva25\Hevadata\Reports\ConnectRptxx_1.rpt    v26data\Reports\

We do not recommend moving files from later to earlier versions.
