Unable to open Security Copy

Overview

When trying to open a Hevacomp Connect project you may come across the following message:

"Can not open the security copy directly. Please copy the contents of this folder elsewhere if you wish to use this"

Explanation

The above is not an error with your software.

The Security Copy is automatically created by the software solely for back-up purposes - it is not intended to be the working project file.

Method

To open the project you will simply need to navigate to the project folder instead, and click on the green tick. The project folder will usually be the one containing the Security Copy, as below:

Alternatively, should you wish to use the Security Copy as your working project then you can do so by following the instructions in the aforementioned warning message. Simply copy the contents of the Security folder and place into a new folder.

You will then be able to select that new folder in Connect and open the project.
