If you receive a run time error 429 without this associate screen corruption then please see this document instead.
Following a new installation, attempting to run Hevacomp produces either of the following errors:
This is usually due to a lack of permissions during the installation process, which blocks registration of the RSS feed components.
You should not need to re-install the software to resolve this issue
We strongly recommend applying the latest update before following these methods. If that fails to resolve the issue, then the next best thing would be to replace the new HevBanner.Exe (the Bentley Hevacomp launch program) with the previous version. This will not result in any loss of functionality other than RSS feeds, and if you would like to see that information, you can subscribe to the Hevacomp Communities page.
To use the previous launcher program:
1] Download the replacement file from here
2] Using Windows Explorer, navigate into the installation folder for Bentley Hevacomp. This is usually:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp
3] Unzip the file you downloaded in step 1] directly into this folder. When asked to overwrite the existing file, select yes.
You should now be able to launch your software.
