    Maximum Volt Drop Settings

      Product(s): Hevacomp Electrical Designer
      Version(s): V8i
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Connect
      Subarea: Operation

    Overview

Hevacomp Connect allows the maximum voltage drop to be set individually for sub-mains, lighting and other circuits, via the 17th Edition > Defaults menu:

Specific volt drops can also be set for each Way (Change Board>Way Data) and each Supply (Change Supply>Supply cable data) by ticking the Fix Volt Drop option, as below. Alternatively, the default volt drop settings will be used.

    Method

Upon calculating your system, the following method is used to calculate the allowable volt drops. Further information about the equations used can be found in the Connect manual.

The Volt Drop Check (17th Edition > Volt Drop Check) can be used at this point to view the volt drop results for all circuits. Any circuits exceeding the maximum permitted volt drop will be listed on the left hand side.

Double-clicking on the circuit reference will open the relevant way so that settings can be adjusted until all volt drop requirements are met.
