Underground cables appear to be undersized when the calculation is run

Solution

You should consider Table 4B3 of the IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition (BS7671). This will provide you with thermal resistivity values that can be entered into the calculation defaults (from the 17th Edition menu, select Defaults) - By default, a figure of 2.5Km/W is considered, though this can be overridden.
