Overview

The water content calculation for Netsys Heating and Chilled Water schematics considers emitter requirements.

Method

Water content is derived as follows:

1. For pipe sections, total internal volume
2. For radiators, flowrate*0.00462/1000 is used*
3. For other emitters,  2 x log10(flowrate/1000) is used*
4. Fitting content is not considered.

*these figures indicate the amount of water required to maintain the required output.
