Cannot lodge XML - Insurer details are missing

Problem

Lodgement of the PartL XML file is failing due to validation errors. Examining the screen suggests that Insurer details are not being provided

Solution

Use Windows File Explorer to go to your project folder and locate the PartL2013.INP file. You can open this in Notepad. Search the file for "C-INSURER" and examine the fields around it. There should be a B-INSP-DATE field, C-INS-EFF-DATE and C-INS-EXP-DATE field.

If these are missing from the file then you should check your international settings. The PartL program can only work correctly if your date settings are set to English (United Kingdom) - the Short date should set to dd/MM/yyyy and the Long date set to dd MMMM yyyy.
