Information

The 18th Edition of BS:7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations comes into force in January 2019. Bentley Hevacomp have update their Connect program to reflect these changes.

The main scope of these changes are changes to disconnection time from table 41.1, as defined in clause 411.3.2.2

Maximum disconnection times stated in table 41.1 shall be applied to final circuits with a rated current not exceeding: (i) 63A with one or more socket outlets, and (ii) 32A supplying only fixed connected current-using equipment.

Existing projects will be loaded as 17th Edition projects, but can be changed to 18th Edition projects by toggling the calculation mode in the Defaults dialog. New projects will be created in 18th Edition mode.
