Overview

To install Bentley Hevacomp V8i you must download the software from the Bentley Select web site. Sometimes due to your system settings this may not be possible. This may manifest in error messages or timeout messages after clicking on the 'Download' link. The following steps may help with this.

Method

Turn off the Internet Explorer pop-up blocker.

To access this from within Internet Explorer: Select the Tools menu, then Pop-up blocker, and then Turn off Pop-up Blocker.
Add the Bentley Systems domain to the Internet Explorer Trusted Sites list

To access this from within Internet Explorer: Select the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then the Security Tab, then Trusted sites, and then Sites. Add 'http://www.bentley.com' , and 'http://select.bentley.com' to the list.
Change the security level in Internet Explorer for Trusted Sites to low (can only be done after the steps above.

To access this from within Internet Explorer, first select Tools, then Internet Options, then click on the Security tab. Now select the Trusted Sites option. Click the Custom level to bring up the custom dialog. Once on screen, use the list to select the Low setting.

The options above should lower you settings enough to allow you to download the Bentley Hevacomp software and/or updates.

All though these options only affect your access to the Bentley Systems website and do not compromise your Internet security, you may wish to set the options back to their original settings after trying these techniques.
