During the installation a lack of permissions have stopped components being registered correctly.
You should not normally need to reinstall the software
The first step is to check that the run time components are installed. Open Control Panel and select Uninstall a program:
From the list of available programs see if you can identify the following. Do not uninstall anything.
For Version 25 installations:
For Version 26 installations:
If any of these items do not exist for the relevant version, then consult this document to ensure you have a full and clean installation of the software.
Once we have ascertained we have the components installed correctly, navigate into the installation folder.
For Version 25 installations
With 32bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Heva25\Programs\
With 64bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Heva25\Programs\
Please check the Bentley Hevacomp launch icon target for the location of the installation folder.
For Version 26 installations
With 32bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp\
With 64bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp\
In this folder, locate these five programs:
For each program in turn, right click on them and select Run as administrator from the context menu. If required, provide an administrator password.
If you receive an onscreen message after running one of the programs, ignore the message. If the program opens, close it using normal methods.
Once all of the programs have been run in this manner you should be able to run your software correctly from the Bentley Hevacomp V8i icon, or from the Start menu link.
