Can anyone please help me on how can I name/number the columns when FILEI is ASCII?
I have a zonal file that does not have headings, how would I be able to index the columns in production and attraction calculations? For example, in zonal Data 1 , I have indexed column 3 as ZI.1.3 but it appears to be an error. Similarly, for Zonal Data 2, indexing IE trips as ZI.2.2 also shows error.
Hi Farhad,
To read the input ASCII file, you can define the variables like this
FILEI ZDATI=zonal.dat, z=#1, distA=#2, distB=#3, distC=#4, distD=#5
The first column is Z, 2nd distA and so on.
To refer them in the script, you can call them directly 'distA', 'distB' or if you files are INPUT then you need to refer them as ZI.#.distA where # represents the file index.
I hope that helps.
