I run VMWare Workstation 6.5 on WinXP.
How can I script a way to automatically clone my VM images?
I've read about the "vmware-cmd" tool but believe that is only available with VMWare ESX, not Workstation.
Emma, You should ask these questions in a VMware forum. We use VMs too, but can't really comment on scripting and such, especially since 6.5 is a very old version… and Windows XP, I don’t know if vmware still supports that version of Windows?

Emma, have you read through our VMware Communities site by chance? It's where people share information about VMs https://gfbninja.com. I can't really comment on scripts since 6.5 is rather old! And for Windows XP, I'm not 100% sure if VMware still supports that version of Windows. Good luck!
