I need to use different time zones in files.

I need to use different time zones in files. Is it necessary to project everything to only one area? Are there additional alternatives to work?

  • HI David, can you elaborate please?  What specific product are you working with?   Geographic coordinate systems do not play a role in time zones.  Reprojecting your design data  from one coordinate system to another would change the coordinate location of the graphics with respect to the surface of the earth.   If you can provide further information on how you are using time zones it would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Hello Inga. Thank you very much for your attention. It was my mistake to say the time zone, in the UTM area. I work with Bentley Fiber and my work space occupies 3 zones, 17S, 18S and 19S. There is a concentration in the zone 18 S so it is the default, but for the other zones they indicated that a projection of the reference planes to zone 18S had to be carried out so that there is continuity in the layout and location of attached plans . Is it the only option you have? And the projection of the files has only one method (using reprojection master GCS)?
    Greetings. David.
