Extension name field in workspace

Question

Hi 
 I wanted to check what is the character limit for the name of a workspace created in ED.

Understanding that in the NAME field there are restrictions on the nomenclature extension to place. 
 In case of exceeding them, what kind of inconveniences can it present? 
 These are the versions: Expert Designer: 08.11.09.858 Bentley Comms: 08.11.09.870 Thanks

Hi Miguel-- 
 For your versions of software there is a limit defined by Oracle Workspace Manager of 30 Characters. 
 ED Comms allows 35 characters, so you cannot use the max number of characters allowed in ED. 
 If you exceed the Oracle Workspace Manager limit, you will have to purge the ED work request. (Later versions of Oracle beginning with 12.2 allow for more characters so the max number of Characters for ED is allowed.)
