I am trying to evaluate Bentley Fibre and can't get past the installer.
It is naturally requiring Oracle 11g client. I have this installed. Yet the bentley installer does not seem to know.
What could be wrong or what am I missing?
Are there any installation guides?
Why has there only been 1 post here in the last 3 years?????
Hi. You are right, there doesn't seem to be much activity on this forum. We do check and will answer questions are they are asked.
Can you verify that you have installed to the 32 bit version of the Oracle client ? Evne on a 64 bit operating system, our applications are currently 32 bit and therefore require the 32 bit version of the client.

That would be it. I have 64-bit installed. Maybe needs to be a better message in the installer when it fails and an installation guide in the Wiki would be helpful.

Hi Stirling. The Bentley Map installer does not check if an Oracle client is installed because it's not a mandatory component, it's only required if you want to connect to Oracle.
I believe the readme does indicate that we require the 32 bit version of the Oracle client.
I did see it in the fine print later. Unfortunatly Fiber seems to only want Oracle. Not installing Map.
