OpenComms Designer allows Supervisors to add new users or change the group roles for existing WorkFlow Manager users. In the root directory of OpenComms Designer, locate the OpenUtilitiesAdministrationTools.msc file and drag a shortcut to the desktop for this utility:
Double click the shortcut to display the OpenUtilitiesAdministrationTools dialog. Under the Security Manager section click on Users to display the list of users that have been entered into the database:
Highlight a user in the middle, and right click and select Properties to display the following User Properties dialog. Click in the ‘Groups’ row to display the roles assigned to that user:
Any user with Supervisor role can check or uncheck any of the group roles to add or remove a user from that group.
To add a new user to the WorkFlow Manager users, select the ‘New User’ icon in the right-hand pane of the OpenUtilitiesAdministrationTools dialog to display the New User dialog:
Fill in the User Name (must match Windows Login username), First Name, Last Name, and Supervisor fields with the new user information. Then click in the ‘Groups’ row and select the groups that are appropriate for the new user. Click Ok to add the new user.
