Can we somehow improve the Exportation IFC of Synchro?
For example, It seems that most of the colors of the models will be dissapear after the export.
Thank a lot
Hi- Did you view the export of IFC from Pro in two distinct products? Or is this just one product that you are using to baseline?
I've tried on BIM Vision, REVIT and BIMSync but On BIM Vision and REVIT, there is nothing appeared.
BIMSync is the only platform that I can view this IFC files from SYNCHRO Pro. But all the colors are dissapeared
Hi colour problem as well in ORD, can someone have an idea how to do it?
Hi - Can you be more specific about your question? What does it mean by "color problem in ORD". Did you mean that you couldn't see color after IFC is imported into ORD? If yes then please find the forum for ORD and I'm afraid this forum is specific for SYNCHRO products.
Hi and thank you, I mean specificaly that no colour is visible in IFC AFTER export from ORD:-(. I tryed also on ORD forum and it seems that is really some error with export...
In that case, did you check the colors in another tool that reads IFC such as Solibri?
If it shows color in Solibri then it is Pro issue to fix.
But there is also no color in Solibri then this issue needs to be reported to the ORD team, and NOT a Pro issue to fix.
Hi - I was reminded by a partner that this seems to be outstanding to resolve or respond. So I ran some basic tests. Case 1:
I created a box and colored in red in 4D Pro then exported to IFC. Then I imported the IFC into 4D Pro and Solibri, I can see the box in red.
In another case, I imported an IFC file and added a colored object in 4D Pro and export both to IFC2. Then I imported the exported IFC2 file into 4D Pro and Solibri, I can see all colors.
But if I modify color on element from an imported IFC in 4D Pro, upon SynchorniseTo the modified color is not in the Synchronised IFC. However if I export as a new IFC, the modified color does show up.
